Green walls have grown in popularity over the recent years, offering a versatile and stylish way to add lush greenery to uplift any indoor or outdoor space. Not only do they add style but vertical gardens are also practical for smaller spaces such as rental properties to make a visual impact while saving valuable floor space.
UV-treated hedge tiles offer endless possibilities for sprucing up your backyard, patio or balcony while adding privacy to areas that overlook neighbours or streets so you can enjoy the outdoors in comfort.
Green walls can also create striking, lifelike feature walls in cafes, restaurants, education centres and offices or as a stunning backdrop for your next event.
Add instant charm to your home or business with UV-treated hedge tiles
With a little creativity and a few tools, you can easily build a green wall that replicates the beauty of real plants - without the time and costs associated with ongoing maintenance and upkeep.
Unlike real plants that require watering, trimming and fertiliser, artificial hedge tiles are completely maintenance-free. Once installed, they stay vibrant and lush all year round, no matter the season. This makes them a cost-effective choice for homeowners and businesses alike.
Installing your vertical garden on a plasterboard wall
Before you get started, make sure to check behind the wall for power. If it’s all clear, you’re good to go!
Here’s everything you’ll need:
Tape measure
Cable ties
Masking tape
Scissors
Permanent marker
Some screws
Plasterboard anchors
Drill
Step ladder.
Step 1: Measure the wall so you know how many tiles you’ll need.
Step 2: You’re going to be using plasterboard anchors and screws to attach the tiles to the wall.
To ensure you get a straight line, use masking tape and a marker to mark where you’re going to put your screws.
Step 3: Drill a little hole into the point you’ve marked on the wall and then attach the first row of plasterboard anchors.
Step 4: Now you can simply attach the first row of hedge tiles onto the plasterboard anchors you just put in.
Step 5: Attach the rest of the panels, putting in more plasterboard anchors and screws as you go.
Don’t forget to check that all the panels are straight and that the foliage is going the right way.
Step 6: Once all the panels are in place, you can just trim off any of the excess and spruce the tiles up to make sure it's looking nice, lush and full.
